What inspired your creative process in writing or illustrating your book?
I try to remember moments from my childhood that stuck with me and explore what it was that made them special or meaningful.

I appreciate how the main character of Jacki is shown to feel what she feels without needing to “fix” it.

What is it like when someone close to us loses their hearing, and how can we stay connected?
